On the 6 March 2018, 2 weeks before my 28th birthday, I was diagnosed with Stage 2, Triple Negative Breast Cancer. Breast cancer in women under 30 is very rare, making up less than 1% of diagnoses. I had little family history and no reason to be conducting regular exams of myself. I found my lump by chance. Disturbingly, some articles said that it is was normal for young women to wait a couple of months before having lumps checked by a doctor. My cancer was aggressive. If I had put off a doctors appointment (and looking back it would have been so easy to do), it could have been a very different outcome for me. Lumps and changes are usually nothing, but a doctor’s appointment is a small price to pay for our lives. Will you help me reach my target of $5000 funds raised for So Brave - in my year as a So Brave Model Ambassador? Let's change the future for young women with breast cancer!
